Care Instructions
Capes & Wraps
Our Capes and Wraps are made from the finest 100% Irish wool tweed from John Hanly’s mill in Co. Tipperary, Ireland and lined with 100% dupion silk. Washing and care instructions are labeled on each garment but for reference, they should be dry cleaned only.
Silver Jewellery
All our jewellery is made from sterling silver with the occasional additional use of semi precious stones and gilding.
Sterling silver over time tarnishes, especially when exposed to salt, air, products containing sulphur, household chemicals, chlorinated water etc. Direct sunlight also causes silver to tarnish, so take off silver jewelry before swimming and sunbathing. You can avoid tarnish by wearing your jewellery regularly. The oils in your skin will clean the silver and keep it looking shiny.
Lotions, cosmetics, hair spray and hair products, and perfumes will accelerate tarnishing so always put on silver jewellery last, after using these products.
Polish your silver jewellery with a lint-free, microfibre, soft, non-abrasive cloth in order to avoid scratching the surface of the metal. When gentle polishing fails to remove tarnish, wash the jewellery by hand in warm water and a mild, ammonia and phosphate free dishwashing soap.
